La Quinta Golf & Country Club
Benahavís · Near Nueva Andalucía · 27 holes · Manuel Piñero
A resort-based golf day on the Benahavís side of the Golf Valley. La Quinta belongs in a Marbella golf itinerary, but its inland position and municipality should be clear when you compare it with courses beside the coast.

The course
The 27 holes are arranged as three nine-hole loops: San Pedro, Ronda and Guadaiza. Their combination affects the character of the round. The official guide describes more open playing space on San Pedro, tighter fairways on Ronda and a more technical challenge on Guadaiza.
Who is it for?
Our take: useful for groups whose abilities differ, provided the club helps match the available combination and tees to the players. Confident golfers may appreciate the more demanding loop. Newer players should explain their experience before booking rather than choosing only by the resort name.
Can non-members book?
The hotel’s official golf page links to a public tee-time booking system, so membership is not required for the visitor booking route. Confirm the actual nine-hole combination with the club: its published information says the courses are not confirmed until check-in. Do not plan a signature hole on the assumption that every reservation covers the same route.

Can you stay on the course?
Yes: The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort & Spa is part of the golf resort. This is one of the clearest options if you want accommodation and golf within the same resort setting. A room reservation is still separate from a guaranteed tee time unless the package expressly includes it.

Facilities and planning
The resort lists practice facilities, equipment hire, lessons, a golf shop and clubhouse dining. Buggies are recommended in the official information. Ask about suitable transport and practice access when you reserve, particularly if you prefer to walk or are bringing a mixed-ability group.
Choose this base for a golf-led stay and arrange transport if you also want regular beach visits. For a multi-course holiday, alternate a La Quinta round with a different layout rather than assuming the three loops amount to three independent 18-hole courses.
Before paying, confirm handicap or licence requirements, dress code, equipment, the chosen tee time and any maintenance restrictions with the operator. Hotel and golf bookings are separate unless an explicit package includes both.
