The course
Robert Trent Jones Sr.’s 18-hole, par-72 layout combines broad fairways with substantial, undulating putting surfaces. Water influences several holes. Read the scorecard from the tees you intend to use: the back-tee distance is a poor guide to how your own round will feel.
Who is it for?
Our take: an appealing choice for regular golfers who enjoy shaping a full round around approach play and putting. Mid-handicappers should choose tees that leave manageable approaches. More accomplished players can create a longer test; beginners are better served by a lesson or a short-course session before committing to 18 holes here.
Can non-members book?
The club publishes visitor green fees and an online tee-time booking page. You do not need an introduction from a member to use that visitor route. Ask the reservations team about handicap documentation, rental equipment and tee selection; an available booking slot does not remove playing requirements.

Can you stay on the course?
No integrated hotel is advertised in the club information reviewed. Nueva Andalucía makes a practical base if golf is the priority; Puerto Banús gives you the marina and evening dining, with a transfer to the course. Facilities and planning
Club and trolley hire, buggies, a shop and restaurant make it possible to travel without a full equipment bag, subject to reservation. Check whether your chosen green fee includes a shared buggy: inclusions differ by season. Allow time to warm up rather than arriving at the first tee straight from the road.
If your group includes non-golfers, combine the round with time around Puerto Banús rather than assuming everyone needs to spend the day at the clubhouse. Confirm maintenance notices and cancellation conditions before pairing a non-refundable hotel stay with a tee time.
Before paying, confirm handicap or licence requirements, dress code, equipment, the chosen tee time and any maintenance restrictions with the operator. Hotel and golf bookings are separate unless an explicit package includes both.
