Puerto Banús

The marina, shopping and evenings by the water.

Puerto Banús is the choice for a trip centred on the marina: boats, fashion boutiques, restaurants and an evening atmosphere that is part of the appeal. It is a different experience from Marbella’s Old Town, so decide which one you want outside your door.

Start at the waterfront

Walk the marina frontage to enjoy the boats and the setting, then explore the streets behind it. The official marina lists shopping, dining, events and charter options. Looking around does not require chartering a yacht or booking a beach club; a stroll and a coffee can be a perfectly good visit.

Add beach time

The harbour and the surrounding beaches make two complementary plans. Choose your beach access before setting out, and check the actual walking route from your hotel. A property in the wider Banús area may not be directly on the waterfront or beside the marina entrance.

Daytime or after dark?

For a quieter introduction, visit earlier and concentrate on the water and shops. Come back for dinner if the social side is what interests you. Restaurant availability, club opening dates and events vary; check the venue rather than assuming a summer schedule applies throughout the year.

Who it suits

Couples and friends looking for restaurants and nightlife nearby, shoppers, and visitors who enjoy a lively marina. Families can enjoy a daytime visit too, but the exact street matters for sleep. If quiet nights are essential, ask about the room orientation and nearby venues before reserving.

Getting there and spending wisely

Choose an arrival and return plan before a busy evening. Check current parking arrangements or use a taxi when it suits your plans. Compare menus, beach-club access conditions and any minimum spend directly with the venue; we do not assume that a table, lounger or activity is included with a hotel stay.

A day plan and places to stay

Marina stroll → lunch → beach or shopping → dinner, with time back at your accommodation between plans. Occidental Puerto Banús and ME Marbella offer hotel alternatives; La Alcazaba is a separate apartment option. Read their individual location notes and choose for the trip you actually want, rather than the Puerto Banús label alone.
